Summary Of Position and Objectives: The DBA is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of database systems to ensure high availability and security. This role involves managing data integrity, optimizing queries, and supporting development teams with database-related tasks. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade database servers (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.). Create and manage database objects (tables, indexes, views, stored procedures). Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Backup & Recovery Develop and maintain backup strategies. Perform disaster recovery planning and execution. Ensure data integrity and availability. Security & Compliance Implement database security policies (roles, permissions, encryption). Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Performance Optimization Analyze query performance and optimize SQL statements. Manage indexing strategies and partitioning. Technical Requirements: Hands-on experience with administration of relational databases such as SQL Server. Knowledge of installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of database environments; Experience in creating and managing database objects (tables, indexes, views and stored procedures); Experience with performance monitoring, SQL query analysis and optimization; Knowledge of backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies; Familiarity with database security best practices (access control, permissions, encryption); Ability to work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams; Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
